5. Visiting the dentist during orthodontic treatment.
It is most important that you continue to visit your family dentist once every six months - even during your orthodontic treatment - for teeth cleaning and routine dental check-ups. If extra dental care is needed, we will be happy to co-ordinate with your family dentist to make sure that you are receiving the best care possible.
6. Oral health is a priority - every patient starting treatment receives oral hygiene instructions, an oral hygiene kit, and a booklet explaining all the aspects of treatment and a list of foods to avoid.
7. Notes:
•
no charge for retainer checks for one year following your treatment (excluding repair of breakages or replacement of lost appliances)
•
no charge for recall visits until you are ready to start treatment
(except radiographs that may be necessary)
•
no charge for the first emergency appointment due to breakages
•
we use low radiation digital X-rays; all necessary photographs, x-rays
and intra-oral scans are done in our office.
