Dr Wertheimer maintains a keen interest in keeping abreast of new trends and technology in orthodontics and attends both local and international update congresses, often as a guest speaker.  He taught post-graduate orthodontic students in the Orthodontic Department at the Wits Dental School over a period of 16 years.

• Admitted as a Fellow of the International College of Dentists in 2016.
• Admitted as a Fellow of the Faculty of Dental Trainers of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2020.

Community Involvement
We continue to work with various organizations such as the “Smile Foundation” as well as various orphanages to provide treatment for children in need, as well as those with complex craniofacial abnormalities eg cleft lip and palate.
